St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School seeks a strategic, relationship?driven Director of Development to lead annual giving, signature fundraising events and major gifts strategy in partnership with the Chief Advancement Officer. The Director of Development is a key leadership position within the school, responsible for implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the school’s mission and strategic goals. The DoD will work closely with the Administration, Board of Trustees, Vestry, alumni, parents, and other key stakeholders to cultivate relationships, secure financial support, and promote a culture of philanthropy within the school community.
Qualifications
5–7+ years of fundraising experience, preferably in independent schools, with demonstrable success in annual giving and major gifts
Exceptional relationship skills: listening, curiosity, tact, and the ability to inspire generosity and trust.
Strong project and volunteer management; ability to motivate and equip class captains, committee members, and ambassadors.
Data fluency: comfort with fundraising CRMs, reporting, pipeline analytics, and budget management.
Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Superb written and verbal communication; the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
