Charleston Collegiate School (CCS) is an independent, co-educational, non-sectarian day school serving students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Job Summary:
The Upper School English / Humanities teacher is a key member of the Upper School faculty responsible for teaching upper level English and humanities courses. Examples of classes include Senior English, AP Seminar, and either junior level AP English Language & Composition or American Literature. At CCS, we have a unique approach below 12th grade that combines English and Social Studies into one class, so the junior class would combine English with United States history, which offers exciting opportunities for interdisciplinary projects. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of success teaching at a high school level. - A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject discipline, e.g., Education or English
- A minimum of 3-5 years teaching experience
