Salary:
The hourly rate for this 16-hour/week position ranges from $35.00 to $45.00, depending on licensure and experience. This equates to an annualized salary of $29,000 to $38,000.

Position Overview:
Inly School seeks a compassionate and engaging School Nurse to join our community starting August 2025. The School Nurse supports the physical, emotional, and developmental health of students from toddler through middle school. They promote wellness, ensure compliance with state health regulations (including 105 CMR 200 and 430), manage chronic and acute health needs, and contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment aligned with Montessori principles.
Inly School is an independent PreK–8 Montessori-plus School located in Scituate, MA that serves over 300 students from 20 South Shore towns and is deeply rooted in Montessori, child-centered, and inclusive educational practices. At Inly, our Montessori+ practices foster an inclusive community of learners who explore and shape themselves and the world with joyful curiosity, courage, and compassion. Key Responsibilities:
1. Health Services
Provide direct nursing care to students including first aid, medication administration, and emergency response.
Assess and manage illness or injury; communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
Maintain and practice Individualized Health Care Plans (IHCPs) and Emergency Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
Administer medications in compliance with MA DPH and school policies, including delegation when appropriate.
Maintain health office supplies and equipment inventory.
2. Recordkeeping & Compliance
Maintain accurate, confidential health records (HIPAA/FERPA compliant) utilizing Magnus system.
Track immunizations, physical exams, and health screenings.
Ensure compliance with MA DPH regulations, communicable disease reporting, immunization audits, and medication decrees.
Prepare and submit required health reports to DPH and local Board of Health.
3. Health Education & Community Support
Support students’ social-emotional development in alignment with Montessori values of respect, empathy, and community.
Collaborate with faculty and families to support health accommodations and wellness practices.
Partner with the student support team on developmental, behavioral, or mental health concerns.
Serve as a liaison to families for public health updates.
Support Quincy College nursing students on their Public Health clinical rotation here at Inly School.
Help develop school-wide health policies (e.g., COVID-19, food allergies, tick prevention).
Provide staff training (EpiPen, asthma care, bloodborne pathogens, CPR/First Aid).
5. Summer Programs & Licensing
Support summer camp health protocols per 105 CMR 430
Maintain nursing coverage during Summer at Inly camp weeks.
Maintain liaison with Health Care Consultant and local health authorities.
Strong Candidates Will Have:
Nursing licensure in Massachusetts (required)
BSN (preferred)
At least 2 years of pediatric or school nursing experience
CPR & First Aid certified (Instructor level preferred)
Experience in independent or Montessori schools preferred
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
