The Human Resource Generalist supports HR functions by optimizing processes and managing essential operational and administrative tasks with integrity and confidentiality. Utilizing AI and relevant technologies, this role involves HR data analysis, recruitment support, employee relations, and HR systems management. Working with the HR Director, the HR Generalist helps implement efficient processes, ensures compliance with best practices, and promotes a positive and professional workplace culture.
Your Responsibilities at ASB:
HR Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and compile HR metrics from various internal and external sources.
Analyze data for trends in recruitment, turnover, motivation, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations of findings offering insights and recommendations.
Utilize AI tools to streamline the collection, analysis, and reporting of HR metrics from various sources.
Process Optimization and Planning:
Support the evaluation and improvement of HR processes to enhance efficiency and alignment with organizational objectives and provide recommendations to the HR Director for further enhancements.
Facilitate the rollout of HR initiatives.
Support performance and benefit and compensation reviews, providing analysis and recommendations.
Coordinate stipend payments for equitable disbursement, ensuring all necessary approvals.
Leadership:
Oversee admin staff responsible and external partners for HR support functions.
Provide feedback and support to ensure the team operates efficiently and collaboratively.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Support recruiting efforts by screening candidates, managing job postings, responding to candidate inquiries, and assisting with other recruitment functions.
Provide suggestions for updates to the Recruiting Playbook to support evolving recruitment needs.
Maintain recruitment metrics, leveraging AI to track and optimize recruiting efforts.
Research sources to attract a high caliber candidate pool.
HR Administration and Systems Management:
Manage employee data across HR software platforms.
Recommend and implement improvements to HR platforms, such as customization and automation.
Maintain up-to-date personnel files, including records for leaves, training, and performance.
Support the annual process of administration of employment contracts and service agreements.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and data security best practices.
Manage an HR calendar, coordinating and planning tasks and projects.
Employee Relations:
Promote a positive, supportive, and professional workplace culture.
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on HR matters.
Coordinate employee relations programs, such as service anniversaries and birthday celebrations.
Facilitate employee surveys and act on feedback to enhance workplace culture.
Policy and Compliance:
Contribute to the review of HR policies and practices, ensuring compliance with employment laws and suggesting updates to the employee handbook as needed.
Conduct classification audits and manage job classifications and reporting structures.
Audit and maintain job descriptions with clear reporting lines, responsibilities, and outcomes
Training and Development:
Coordinate training programs, identifying skill gaps, and maintaining records.
Provide hands-on user support for HR systems.
Leverage AI to identify skill gaps and recommend personalized employee training programs.
Who We're Looking For? The ideal candidate will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role
Competencies
Acts with integrity and maintains confidentiality at all times
Proficient in HRIS, data analysis, and process optimization.
Familiar with applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills promoting collegial interaction and collaboration
Ability to manage multiple tasks with big-picture thinking and attention to detail
