Schedule: 26 hours per week (December 2025-March 2026)
The PE Teacher is responsible for delivering an age-appropriate curriculum that meets the interests and needs of the children in each class. The purpose of the PE program is to build self-esteem, promote cooperative and enthusiastic group play, and encourage children’s confidence about physical expression, as well as developing basic skills in physical activities. The PE program is a critical component of each child’s experience at Peninsula School.
At Peninsula School, a leader in progressive education since 1925, nursery-8th grade children thrive and develop to their full promise as confident contributors in the world, learn about themselves and others, discover their passions, and grow intellectually in an inclusive community rich with choices, exploration, and play. In addition to intellectual development and social and emotional learning (SEL), Peninsula School has an explicit focus on educating for democracy, student choice and voice, and social justice.
