Kindergarten Teacher

Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt, Faculty

Start Date: August 11, 2025

Reporting To: Armleder Principal

Job Summary: Educate Kindergarten aged children, creating an engaging environment in which students can thrive and learn.

• Responsible for all instruction in classroom, including care and nurture of all enrolled students
• Able to communicate effectively, possessing developed verbal and written interpersonal skills
• Able to assess the social emotional, academic developmental needs of the students
• Plan engaging/creative appropriate instruction for the students
• Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively, developing positive relationships with CHCA staff, administrators, parents, and students
• Able to integrate Christian principles into the student's learning experiences and nurture their faith

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

MENTAL FUNCTIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education
• Experience working with preschool and elementary age students
• Current Ohio teaching license with PK-3 certification
• Strong Christian background
• Two years of experience preferred as well as experience with Orton Gillingham, Responsive Classroom, and Leader in Me curriculum
