Position Description and Candidate Characteristics
We are seeking enthusiastic candidates to teach one on one and/or small group music lessons to students on Brookwood’s campus before and/or after school. Applicants must have experience working with children, and demonstrate character, compassion, and reliability. As always when working with children, flexibility is a must.
In particular, we are seeking applicants who can teach drums, voice, guitar, flute and/or piano.
Brookwood students range from ages 3 to 14. Instructors will be assigned a list of families with interested students to reach out to coordinate lessons in late August.

Ensuring student safety and wellbeing at all times by:
Being with the student(s) at all times and/or knowing their whereabouts
Working in partnership with Auxiliary leadership to ensure safe and communicative transitions, including reasonably picking up / dropping off on time
Following all health, safety, and emergency protocols
Knowing students as individuals, including their health and behavioral needs, with support from Auxiliary leadership and the School Nurse
Positively representing Brookwood by:
Being a role model for students
Cultivating a positive and welcoming community culture
Interacting professionally with students, colleagues, and families
Working in partnership with Auxiliary leadership and other Brookwood employees
Maintaining professional boundaries with students
Maintaining the cleanliness of spaces
Communicating effectively with families and Brookwood by:
Meeting all communication schedule deadlines
Maintaining an updated schedule on group Google Sheet and dating all changes so Business Office can track billing changes
Notifying auxiliary leadership of day to day schedule changes
Providing high-quality music instruction by:
Leading on-campus lessons
