Solebury School (New Hope, PA) seeks a highly qualified Assistant or Associate Director of Admissions to join the Admissions team at a growing boarding/day high school. This person will work with a strong Admissions team to achieve the school's enrollment goals and support the school's mission. Our goal is to hire someone soon and for them to start sometime the Summer 2025.
Essential Functions
Identify potential international and domestic markets and develop a strategic plan for building applicant pool from each of them
Travel to international and domestic markets to recruit students while also building a network of contacts
Cultivate and maintain effective relations with consultants and key contacts in various markets
Oversee the application process for students, updating the students, families, and consultants as needed
Work with admission team to develop travel plan, an admission process and calendar that supports the school’s mission and development goals
Meets with parents individually and/or in groups to provide information, answer questions and secure the admission of qualified students
Meets with prospective students to be able to report impressions of them to the admissions committee
Follow up with families throughout the application process to recruit, answer questions, and provide assistance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in Independent schools or Colleges and/or in working with teenagers
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Significant Admissions experience
Comfort in using database systems, particularly Veracross, is a significant plus
Experience in the financial aid process is a plus
Ability to work well as part of a team
Be able to laugh a bit - that’s the kind of office we are
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts
May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time
Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
Work primarily in a traditional climate controlled office environment
Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
Ability to travel internationally for up to three weeks at a time

Our Academic Program which has the ability to work with a variety of students - we offer both a variety of AP and honors classes and excellent support classes for students with language based and math learning differences or with executive functioning difficulties.
