SUMMARY:
The Masters School seeks an assistant coach for the varsity swim team this winter season. This is a temporary part-time position from December 2nd, 2025 through February 27th, 2026 and requires 12 – 20 hours per week.
Varsity practices are Monday through Friday 3:45-5:00 pm with meets during the week and on some Saturdays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attend all program/Department events and meetings
Assist in creating and implementing appropriate practice plans and meet strategies for each student-athlete’s stage of development.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and school community members
Effectively communicate with student-athletes, parents and all pertinent constituencies
Provide positive and constructive feedback/coaching during practices and competitions
Implement and adhere to school/Athletics Department/league rules and expectations
Positively represent the school at all pertinent league functions
Able to coach from December 2nd, 2025 through February 27th, 2026 at the hours listed in the above summary
Prior swim coaching experience and/or a high level of swimming experience a plus but not required.
Have strong leadership skills to motivate and develop student athletes
Ability to facilitate a positive, comprehensive, and competitive program
Able to travel to away competitions
