SUMMARY:
The Masters School seeks an assistant coach for the varsity swim team this winter season. This is a temporary part-time position from December 2nd, 2025 through February 27th, 2026 and requires 12 – 20 hours per week.
Varsity practices are Monday through Friday 3:45-5:00 pm with meets during the week and on some Saturdays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend all program/Department events and meetings
- Assist in creating and implementing appropriate practice plans and meet strategies for each student-athlete’s stage of development.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and school community members
- Effectively communicate with student-athletes, parents and all pertinent constituencies
- Provide positive and constructive feedback/coaching during practices and competitions
- Implement and adhere to school/Athletics Department/league rules and expectations
- Positively represent the school at all pertinent league functions
- Able to coach from December 2nd, 2025 through February 27th, 2026 at the hours listed in the above summary
- Prior swim coaching experience and/or a high level of swimming experience a plus but not required.
- Have strong leadership skills to motivate and develop student athletes
- Ability to facilitate a positive, comprehensive, and competitive program
- Able to travel to away competitions
