Position Summary
The French/Spanish Teacher will cultivate an engaging and inquiry-based classroom where students build fluency, cultural appreciation, and confidence in communication. This role emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to nurturing each child’s unique potential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
French/Spanish teacher duties and responsibilities include:
Instruction & Assessment: Teach French and Spanish (Early Years–Grade 4), design engaging lessons and authentic assessments, and use inquiry-based methods to support diverse learning styles.
Student Support: Create a positive, culturally responsive classroom, communicate proactively with parents, and celebrate individual student growth.
Community & Collaboration: Partner with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, participate in faculty meetings and school initiatives, and assist with occasional non-academic duties (e.g. lunch, study hall, arrival/dismissal).
Personal Qualities:
Possess a positive attitude,
Excellent written and verbal skills,
Strong organizational skills, and
Proven success within a work setting requires collaboration, cooperation, and collegiality.
Physical Requirements:
Able to sit, stand, type, twist, bend
Able to use computers, laptops
Able to lift 25-50 lbs.
Other physical demands such as speaking, hearing, manual, and finger dexterity

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, French/Spanish Language, or related field from an accredited institution
Fluency: Native or near-native fluency in French and Spanish
Certification: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements
Experience: Five years of teaching experience preferred, especially with early childhood or elementary-aged students
