In our Upper School, you’ll teach and learn alongside one hundred and thirty other faculty who embody the same intellectual curiosity, wholesome intensity, and creative spirit as our students. Position Status: Salaried, Exempt, Full-time, 10-month
Work Hours: Typical hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some weekend and evening work may be required.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaches two sections in our Upper School Math program that start with Geometry and progress through Calculus and beyond
Co-teaches a 3-week immersive, interdisciplinary class duringJan Term
Collaborates with other Upper School Math teachers as part of a math PLC (Professional Learning Community)
Advises students as part of the Upper School Advisory Program
Contributes to the larger school community through coaching or sponsoring extracurricular programs
Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for a successful candidate.
Strong background in mathematics, with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics, highly preferred. M.A. in Math and/or professional or practical experience in a related field is valued but not required.
Two years of Upper School teaching experience preferred but not required
Ability to teach many, if not all, Upper School math courses from Geometry to Multivariable Calculus. Experience and/or willingness to teach AP Statistics is a plus.
Experience with a one-to-one laptop environment and its appropriate use to enhance, explore, and support mathematics teaching is required, including TI-Nspire, TI-CAS graphing calculators, and computer software to support the teaching and learning of algebraic & graphical concepts.
