Substitute Teacher
We are seeking qualified substitute teachers for the lower school division—pre-kindergarten to grade five—and middle school division—grades six, seven, and eight. Substitutes will have an opportunity to work in a variety of well-resourced classrooms with inspiring and dedicated teachers and administrators. This is a part-time, variable hour role on an on-call basis. This position is not eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities
Promote and support excellent teaching.
Provide a safe, calm, organized classroom environment.
Implement and/or prepare effective lesson plans.
Provide coverage for teacher duties (lunch, recess, etc.)
Communicate effectively with classroom teachers and division head.
Manage time and schedule for classroom.
Help support and maintain continuity for students.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Degree or coursework in education preferred.
Experience working with children in a school setting.
