The Lycée is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Elementary English teacher for a leave coverage position beginning in January 2026. We are looking for a teacher who:
has an MA and/or has completed a graduate program in education (must be from an English-speaking university)
has at least 2 years experience teaching (experience in grades 1-5 is prioritized)
has training/background in English/ ELA
is adaptable, flexible and willing to teach several different grades
is willing to teach students with different language proficiency levels (ELL, intermediate, and native proficiency)
has strong writing and speaking skills
believes in differentiation in the classroom
is innovative and technology-savvy
enjoys collaborating on curriculum and project-based learning
has a commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and belonging
Knowledge of French a plus
Annual Salary Range: $73,576 – $123,417

The Lycée Français de New York is a nursery through twelfth grade coeducational, bilingual, independent day school in Manhattan, serving 1,370 students.
