St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Austin, TX, seeks a dynamic and highly qualified Maintenance Technician to join our Upper School Staff. The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the school’s facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of campus buildings, grounds, and equipment. Working under the direction of the Facilities Director, Facilities Manager, and Assistant Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Technician supports the daily operations of the school by delivering high-quality service, responding promptly to maintenance needs, and contributing to a positive and professional environment.
Previously related experience preferred.
Ability to safely use and operate standard maintenance equipment/materials.
Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Ability to ascertain which people may need immediate assistance and to act accordingly.
Ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment. Knowledge of O.S.H.A. requirements and the ability to routinely follow those guidelines and requirements.
Essential Functions:
Maintain regular, punctual attendance and be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (with prior management approval for overtime).
Foster professional and confidential working relationships with staff, students, and external parties.
Perform routine maintenance, sanitation, and repair of campus buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment, including pavement/asphalt care and event
