Job Summary

The Lower School Math teacher is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in an independent K-12 school environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Teachers within a grade level and/or subject work as a team under the supervision of the Division Head and are full-time exempt employees. This position is eligible for full benefits.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively support the mission of The Fletcher School and its leadership in the execution of their role and
• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that are structured, multi- sensory and targeted to individual learning styles to facilitate active learning and assist students in achieving their

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in teaching from an accredited institution in the subject or grade level of posted
• 3 to 5+ years teaching experience
• Training or experience in Special
• Have attended or willing to attend Orton-Gillingham Educator course and Multisensory Math professional development.
• Have or willing to obtain Apple Teacher
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working

The Fletcher School is a non-profit, independent school offering a comprehensive educational program designed to build the academic, social and emotional competence of students with specific learning disabilities and/or ADHD. The program enables students in grades K-12 to experience success and embrace their unique talents.
