Hillside School, a Junior Boarding School serving grades 4-9, is seeking an enthusiastic Elementary teacher for our Sixth Grade classroom.  We are looking for someone with a strong academic background and passion for teaching middle school students beginning in September 2025.  The ideal candidate is able to tailor instruction to help students develop interest and excitement for the subject matter and to differentiate instruction based on individual needs to help every student achieve academic success

This candidate should be prepared to teach Sixth grade material to all levels of learners in a self-contained classroom.  Subjects covered include reading, math, science and geography.  Other desired qualifications include being a team player, a sense of humor, and a creative and positive approach to teaching

Qualified candidates should embrace boarding school life.  They must be willing to teach a full schedule (16-20 periods per week), coach two seasons of sports, and reside on campus covering scheduled dorm duties on evenings and weekends. • Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree preferred)

• Ability to teach multiple core subjects (reading, language arts, social studies, math, science)

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
