Job Title: Head Basketball Coach

Job Description:

Boston University Academy is seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our basketball program as a Head Coach. As the Head Coach, you will work to support all aspects of the team's development, including practices, games, and player growth.

Responsibilities:

-        plan and execute regular practice sessions to enhance players' technical abilities, teamwork, and understanding of the game.

-        Provide constructive feedback and guidance to players to aid in their individual skill development.

-        Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.

-        Coordinate other coaches and staff members to ensure effective communication and coordination within the tennis program and the overall athletic department.

-        Assist with travel to away competitions.

Qualifications:

-        Prior experience as a coach or player preferred.

-        Solid understanding of strategies, techniques, and rules.

-        Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school administrators.

-        Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate practices and games.

-        Current CPR certification preferred.

-        Current valid driver’s license.

-        Successful completion of background check upon job offer.

Season Schedule:

-       The expected weekly commitment is approximately 20 hours.

-       Practices are held from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM on weekdays.
