The Position Chapin School seeks aides for its After-School Program. The After-School Program takes place Monday through Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. except for school holidays and special events. The position allows for flexibility. You do not have to work all five days. The position reports to the ASP supervisor.
Responsibilities
Supervise children in groups and individually, ensure their safety, and mediate conflicts.
Engage with students and parents and work with them on a wide range of recreational and educational activities (i.e. homework, table/board games, arts and crafts, computer related activities).
Assist ASP Supervisor to plan activities and enhance the program.
Report all issues regarding student discipline and parent complaints to the ASP Supervisor.
Keep accurate written records of all incidents, injuries, and communications and report them to ASP Supervisor.
Ensure work areas are straightened up and cleaned to existing condition.
Perform other related duties as requested by the ASP Supervisor, Director of Grades 1-8, or Early Childhood Director.
Qualifications
High School Graduate
Experience working with children preferred
Proficient with electronic communication and possess computer skills to assist students on the computer
