Colorado Academy (CA) is seeking an innovative, passionate educator to serve in a dynamic dual role as Service Learning & Community Engagement Coordinator (40% FTE) and REDI Lab Facilitator and Community Liaison (60% FTE) starting on or around July 1, 2025. This position represents a unique opportunity to guide students and adults in both community engagement through service learning and personalized, project-based learning in CA's signature REDI Lab program. This is a 12-month, salaried position.
Located in Urban Denver,The REDI Lab is a learning experience rooted in the belief that every person has ideas that add value to the world. We help people distill and share their ideas by unlocking the agency that lies within them. In the REDI Lab, educators and learners jointly engage in a proven model of inquiry that builds self confidence to think differently, design solutions, and create compelling change in their communities.
In addition to REDI Lab responsibilities, this position will coordinate and support the service learning programming in the Upper School at Colorado Academy. CA’s Service Learning program is integral to the school's mission of developing caring, community-minded individuals. At CA, service is woven into the educational experience from elementary through high school, with opportunities ranging from campus-based initiatives to international service through global travel programs.
Position Summary
The REDI Lab programming and reach is expanding and we are seeking an individual to join the team as a Program Facilitator and Community Liaison. We are seeking a dynamic and creative facilitator/teacher to join our team as co-facilitator and co-designer for existing and new REDI Lab programming and initiatives. This position is a unique opportunity to work in an innovative educational environment with educators as well as middle school and high school youth from around the Denver Metro Area; help us launch new partnerships that are in the “pipeline”; and facilitate new connections to mission-aligned schools and organizations locally and nationally. This dynamic and creative teacher/facilitator will lead our L2xD program in Denver.
Key Responsibilities
REDI Lab teacher, facilitator, and program designer
Design new content and co-teach/facilitate programming for middle and high school students in the summer, winter, and fall.
Identify relevant topics and co-design REDI Lab Partners professional learning events.
Develop and execute new recruiting strategies to share the REDI Lab programs and pedagogy to more students and educators
Lead the L2XD in Denver program
Required training in San Antonio, Texas June 2025
Student recruitment in Denver metro area
Serve as lead teacher/facilitator in July through August
Coordinate and facilitate the Girl Fierce Leadership program
Lead middle school girls through The Links Girls Fierce curriculum, empowering participants through self-awareness and civic/cultural engagement
Engage participants in college/career readiness and STEAM education
Provide support for various initiatives:
Plan, market, and coordinate REDI Lab and CA service learning events
Manage relationships and communications with community partners
Develop new program opportunities and partnerships for the REDI Lab and CA service learning programs.
Position Summary
The person in this role will coordinate service programming and curricular connections related to service, service learning, and community engagement across grades K–12.
CA Service Learning & Community Engagement Coordinator (K-12)
Develop, implement, and oversee service learning initiatives across all school divisions, with particular focus on Upper School programs
Coordinate grade-level service projects, including the Ninth and Tenth Grade advisory service mornings during the first trimester, grade-level service in the Middle School, coordinator with the Lower School teams to incorporate service into the experiential learning program.
Support student-led service clubs such as HOPE (Helping Other People Eat), Children's Hospital Club, Haiti Club, and Horizons Club
Guide 11th grade students through their Community Impact Projects (CIP), a graduation requirement where students design and implement service projects based on identified community needs
Arrange transportation and logistics for off-campus service activities
Collaborate with faculty to integrate service learning components into classroom curriculum
Track and report student service hours for graduation requirements
Promote and communicate service learning opportunities and achievements to the school community
Seek opportunities to expand and enhance the service learning program
3+ years of teaching diverse populations of students, and/or working in a school setting
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, parents, and community partners
Spanish language fluency highly preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with service learning, community engagement, and/or project-based learning
Understanding of design thinking and entrepreneurial education
Ability to guide self-directed student learning and research
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Flexibility and adaptability to work in both on-campus and off-campus environments
Passion for innovative education approaches and student-centered learning
Valid driver's license and ability to transport students as needed (or willingness to obtain appropriate certification)
Commitment to fostering an inclusive community that values diversity of thought, background, and experience
Physical requirements
Ability to accompany students to service sites, which may require walking, standing, and light lifting
Travel between CA's main campus and the REDI Lab Coleman Center in downtown Denver

The pay for this position is $63,200 - $113,900. Although this is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for this position does not relate to sex, gender or gender identity, but relates solely to a seniority system, a merit system, or relevant education, training and/or experience.
