Greenwich Academy seeks a talented beginning teacher to serve as a teaching fellow in our history department. The fellowship offers a teacher new to the profession the opportunity to teach motivated, engaged students in a community that prizes learning and professional growth. The fellow will receive extensive mentoring from colleagues in the department and will have the opportunity to observe classes taught by those colleagues regularly. Ideally, candidates will have an interest in and ability to teach both world and American histories. The fellow will likely teach two sections of 9th grade Modern World History or 10th grade United States History and will be asked to participate in other areas of school life, including advising, coaching or helping with student organizations. An undergraduate degree in history or a related field is required. Participation in the University of Pennsylvania's Independent School Teaching Residency Program will be supported by Greenwich Academy if the fellow chooses to pursue a master's degree while at the school.

They will be excited to work in a rigorous academic environment and to immerse themselves in the school community.
