The Harvey School seeks candidates for the position of Varsity Girls Head Lacrosse Coach.  The individual in this position will be responsible for developing the girls' lacrosse program. This position reports to the Director of Athletics.

Responsibilities:

Significant knowledge of and experience in coaching lacrosse at the collegiate, interscholastic, or club level, and the ability to develop players in grades 6 -12.

Plans, strategizes, and oversees all practices and scheduled contests to provide a positive and competitive experience for student athletes

Responsibilities include practice plans, game management, statistics management, program coordination, and communication with coaches, parents, student-athletes, faculty, and staff

Qualifications:

Must have highly advanced and effective inter-personal, motivational, and team leadership skills

Must be able to demonstrate creativity, sound judgment, and thoughtful decision-making; be an effective problem solver; and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

A minimum of 2-3 years of coaching experience at the secondary, club, or collegiate level is preferred.

Promote an inclusive environment that values, encourages, and supports differences.

Understanding of the rules and regulations governing the sport.

Proven knowledge, skills, and strategies for the sport. 

Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop student athletes on and off the field. 

Communicate effectively with other coaches, student athletes, parents, and community members.

The pay range for the position is $4,000-$7,000 for the season, depending on background and experience..
