Reporting to the Lower School Division Director and serving as a member of the Lower School administrative team, the Dean of Faculty is responsible for recruiting, coaching, and evaluating teachers, while ensuring the overall outstanding quality of the faculty. They foster a culture of community and mutual respect and manage the Associate Teacher Program to ensure high-quality mentoring and sustained professional growth
Responsibilities
Faculty Recruitment, Development, and Evaluation
In partnership with Assistant Director of Lower School, lead a comprehensive process for recruiting and hiring new faculty
Lead the process to onboard new faculty, including but not limited to planning new faculty orientation and running the Welcoming Colleagues Program
Observe and coach faculty to ensure supportive classroom structures and consistently high levels of effective classroom management
Design and facilitate professional development sessions that build teacher capacity in differentiating instructional practices, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, and ensuring faculty have the skills needed to support all learners with high academic and behavioral expectations.
In partnership with the Lower School Division Director, evaluate faculty, providing effective feedback and maintaining a high bar of accountability and performance
Provide facilitation, coaching, and guidance to faculty navigating interpersonal challenges and professional conflicts, fostering a culture of open communication, respect, and collaboration
Associate Teacher Program
Oversee and refine the Associate Teacher Program
Provide structured professional development and coaching to Associate Teachers while partnering with Head Teachers to ensure high-quality mentoring and ongoing professional growth
Qualifications
Master’s degree
Experience coaching and evaluating
Experience developing curriculum, with a deep understanding of differentiated instruction
Demonstrated success using data to drive instruction, with a strong understanding of pedagogy that drives results
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Problem-solving, crisis management, and conflict resolution skills
Strong cultural competency and experience supporting and encouraging a culture of diversity and inclusion
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication, presentation, problem-solving, resolution, and facilitation skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of this position
Available to work outside of school hours, including evenings and weekends

Salary and benefits are highly competitive and will be offered commensurate with experience and credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $120K-$150K. This full-time, in-person position begins July 1, 2026.
