Seattle Academy is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Innovations and Entrepreneurship Long Term Substitute to join our Upper School faculty for the remainder of the 2025/26 academic year. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about equipping students with an entrepreneurial mindset for success in the real world.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in entrepreneurship, business fundamentals, and experience in mentoring student ventures. We would prefer someone with teaching experience, however, we welcome applicants who bring relevant professional experience in finance, business, or related fields, even if their background is not rooted in traditional classroom teaching.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering engaging courses in business and entrepreneurship, including topics such as marketing, value proposition, customer identification, and pitching to investors.
- Applying skills of design thinking and prototyping.
- Using project-based learning to create authentic, real-world applications of Business concepts.
- Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Fostering critical thinking and problem-solving through student-centered activities and discussions.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and developmentally appropriate education program across grade levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching Business and Entrepreneurship.
- Familiarity with or interest in curriculum development focused on the Entrepreneurial mindset.
- Background in project-based learning and differentiated instruction.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
