Looking for a reliable, hard-working individual with a passion for school food, expanding young pallets, and cooking for a program focused on creating unique, delicious and nutritious meals. Our Boarding Program chefs prepare weeknight dinners at our upper school and weekend brunch and dinner service at the dorms. The right candidate must have excellent communication and multitasking skills, attention to detail and pride in their work. Must be able to show initiative, work fast, and maintain an exceptionally clean work environment. Must be able to work independently on the weekends, set up a beautiful brunch spread, make eggs to order and prepare buffet style, self-serve dinners. Monday holidays are expected to be worked.

Mon-Tues OFF
Wed-Fri 11:00-7:30
Sat-Sun & Monday Holidays 9:00-5:30

Experience in catering, restaurants and/or culinary school required. Must speak english. Competitive pay, 40 hours a week, full benefits and 401k. 6 weeks built in time off throughout the year (winter break, spring break, summer break). Paid time off also available. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Culinary School degree or 2-5 years of kitchen experience
Catering experience a plus
High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, and presentation
NYS Food Handlers Certificate or ServSafe certified a plus
