Position Description
The primary function of the STEAM Coordinator is to provide school-wide support for the school’s STEAM program through the coordination, development, and delivery of STEAM initiatives. This role collaborates, at all levels of the organization, on STEAM activities and ensures that the initiatives are being implemented and utilized in alignment with the curriculum and standards through professional development and training in the classrooms.
Technical Skills
- Excellent communication skills when working with students, parents, and faculty.
- Experience and knowledge in organizing community outreach projects related to STEAM.
- Strong teaching skills (Educational credentials preferred).
- Experienced in curricula and STEAM Education for PK-8 students.
- Robotics and coding experience preferred.
- Ability to provide positive and inspirational leadership.
- Excellent technology skills or foundational skills, and a willingness to learn (i.e., woodworking, computer design, 3D printing).
- Solid working knowledge of STEAM curriculum.
- Ability to objectively observe, coach, and mentor peers.

Professional Responsibilities
- Collaborate on STEAM initiatives school-wide as part of the school’s curriculum.
- Develop, organize, coordinate, and provide training for administrators and staff related to STEAM best practices, Science and Math State Standards, etc.
- Support classroom teachers by providing technological and project-based resources to encourage exciting, robust, and multi-sensory learning.
- Co-teach lessons, units, and projects.
- Work with leadership and faculty to enhance parent involvement.
- Participate in available STEAM training and experience STEAM topics.
- Assist in the creation of marketing plans for STEAM projects.
- Any other duties consistent with the functions of the scope and job description.
