								<description>Morganton, North Carolina,  Morganton Day School  seeks a Curriculum Coordinator for the 2026&#8211;2027 school year to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing growth of our  International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme and Middle School program . The Curriculum Coordinator works closely with faculty and leadership to ensure a cohesive, inquiry-based, and vertically aligned IB curriculum while serving as the primary liaison with the International Baccalaureate Organization. 
 In addition to IB coordination responsibilities, the Curriculum Coordinator provides student support, coordinates required testing, and supports programming and events. MDS seeks a collaborative, dynamic educator who is passionate about inquiry-based learning and fostering a strong school culture. 
 Key Responsibilities: 
 
 Supporting teachers in developing and refining IB-aligned curriculum and instruction 
 
 
 Facilitating collaborative planning and professional learning around IB approaches to teaching and learning 
 
 
 Managing IB documentation, data, and programme requirements 
 
 
 Guiding families and students in understanding the PYP framework and expectations 
 Promoting the IB mission within the school community 
 
 &#xa0;There is an expedited timeline for this role, with all interviews to be completed and an offer extended by  May 29th . Ideal Candidates Will Demonstrate: 
 
 Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills 
 
 
 Deep understanding of inquiry-based and transdisciplinary learning 
 
 
 Experience teaching and/or leading in an IB school (preferred) 
 
 
 A commitment to nurturing a positive, student-centered school culture 
 
 Required Education and Experience: 
 
 A Master&#8217;s degree in education&#xa0; 
 Three years of experience&#xa0;
