Position This is a 3/4-time position (.75 FTE) at Cincinnati Country Day School for an experienced teacher/tutor to support students in all disciplines with executive functioning skills, study strategies, etc., in both 1:1 and small group settings. The right candidate will spend time in classrooms throughout the Upper School learning how our teachers teach in order to best support students. Work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This position is an academic school-year position (August-May).
Responsibilities
Work one-on-one and in small group settings with students to support their academic and socio-emotional learning in and out of the classroom.
Collaborate with department chairs and teachers to understand how to best support students with the curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies.
Partner with the Student Support team (school psychologist, director of belonging and well-being, MS learning specialist, and our in-school mental health therapist) to understand students learning plans and relative strengths and weaknesses to address learning challenges.
Serve as a liaison between students, parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure holistic support.
Support students in developing coping strategies, resilience, and self-advocacy skills.
Qualifications Competitive candidates will have a master’s degree, a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience teaching/tutoring high school students, with a demonstrated history of success.
