Position: Head Coach for JV Lacrosse

Position Summary
Newton Country Day School seeks a passionate and organized JV Lacrosse Head Coach to lead the team during the spring 2026 season. The coach will be responsible for planning practices, developing players, and building a competitive, inclusive team culture that reflects the mission of Sacred Heart education and Falcon Athletics.
Position Requirements:
- Lead all aspects of JV lacrosse practices and games with a focus on fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship, in alignment with the lacrosse program from Varsity to Middle School.
- Mentor student-athletes of varying skill levels, encouraging courage and confidence, discipline, and growth.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and the Athletics Department.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to drive school vehicles for practices and competitions.
- Uphold and model the values of Sacred Heart education and the mission of Falcon Athletics, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all athletes.
- Complete other related duties as requested by the Director of Athletics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience playing or coaching lacrosse (high school or collegiate level preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid and SafeSport certifications (or willingness to complete prior to the season).
- CORI background check and fingerprinting required.
