The Peddie School seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic admission officer to join its team. This full-time, 12-month, non-teaching faculty position will play a significant role in student recruitment and enrollment, with a focus on domestic travel, relationship building and personalized engagement with prospective students and families. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, this individual will serve as a full-cycle admission officer and will be involved in all aspects of the admission and enrollment process.
A willingness to travel extensively during the fall and spring, and to work evenings and weekends.
A bachelor's degree is required; 2-3 years of admission or related experience is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships, connect authentically with students and families, and represent the school with enthusiasm and professionalism
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and project management abilities.
Comfort with admission technology, CRM systems, and data analytics tools.
Collaborative spirit, adaptability, sense of humor and a commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive school community.
Primary Responsibilities
Recruitment and Travel
Lead domestic recruitment efforts in targeted geographic regions, including extensive travel to school fairs, feeder schools, and community-based organizations.
Represent Peddie at off-campus events, ensuring a high-touch and personalized introduction to the school's mission and programs, domestically and potentially international.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective families, placement professionals, consultants, and key influencers.
Partner with the Director of Multicultural Recruitment to identify and cultivate a diverse applicant pool and strengthen the school's visibility in underrepresented markets.
Admission Process and Office Engagement
Conduct interviews with prospective students and families (on campus and on the road), write interview summaries, and manage follow-up communications.
Serve a primary reader and presenter in the Admission Committee; evaluate applications and help shape enrollment decisions.
Participate in the planning and execution of all on-campus recruitment and yield events, including open houses, revisit days, and family programs.
Collaborate with other admission team members on strategy, outreach, and recruitment pipelines.
Assist in the training and supporting student tour guides and contribute to the Tour Guide Program and parent ambassador initiatives.
Leverage CRM and admission systems to track prospective student engagement and measure outreach effectiveness.
Contribute to the development of data-informed recruitment strategies and assist with reporting and analytics for the team.
Cross-Department Collaboration
Coordinate with residential life, athletics, and co-curricular offices as needed to support enrollment initiatives.
Work with the Financial Aid Office to support prospective families throughout the tuition assistance process.
Community Involvement
Participate in faculty life, which may include responsibilities such as advising, dormitory duty, weekend supervision, or coaching.
