DESCRIPTION: St. Paul’s seeks the newest member of its College Advising faculty to begin duties in the summer of 2026. The search will have a wide set of parameters for candidates, from a minimum of 3-5 years of experience to a seasoned veteran looking for a new and exciting opportunity. College Advisers at St. Paul’s are full-time members of the faculty, with all associated responsibilities involved in working at a fully residential school. SPS college advisers are responsible for working closely with students, parents, and colleagues in higher education in person, via teleconference, and on the phone. The job places an emphasis on teamwork as well as excellent writing and interpersonal skills. College advisers participate in regional and national conferences, visit schools, host fairs and meetings with college representatives, and maintain availability by phone or email year-round as necessary.
In addition to advising responsibilities, faculty at St. Paul’s School are responsible for a variety of activities typical in a boarding school environment, including advising, dormitory association, coaching, committee work and other duties. As with all positions, St. Paul’s Schools seeks educators who will embrace the fully residential living experience and have a demonstrated gift for engaging a diverse student body and strengthening the St. Paul’s School inclusive community.
Skill set: Strong interpersonal skills; proficiency and expertise as a high-volume writer; excellent public speaking and communication skills; collaborative approach to working with a team; ability to manage various professional responsibilities simultaneously; patience; commitment to supporting the mission and values of the College Advising Office and the School.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of college advising and/or college admission experience. As a part of residential boarding school, the candidate must be committed to working and living with adolescents and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Founded in 1856, St. Paul’s School is a fully residential independent high school located in Concord, N.H.
