10th Grade Level Dean
de Toledo High School, a vibrant and innovative independent high school in West Hills, CA, is seeking an experienced and dynamic 10th Grade Level Dean for a full-time position beginning in August 2026.
The 10th Grade Level Dean is responsible for supporting students’ academic progress, personal growth, and overall well-being while upholding the mission and values of dTHS.
Key Responsibilities
Promote the school’s mission and serve as a positive role model within the community.
Monitor academic progress, graduation requirements, schedules, and weekly assessments.
Collaborate with the Director of Student Learning and College Counseling to support accommodations and academic planning.
Meet regularly with students to review progress and communicate consistent updates to families.
Oversee attendance, academic standing, and Dean’s List recognition.
Partner with counselors and outside providers to support students’ social and emotional needs.
Serve as the primary contact for grade-level discipline; ensure fair and consistent policy enforcement.
Lead advisory programming focused on study skills, resilience, accountability, and goal setting.
Facilitate grade-level faculty meetings and participate in Student Support Team meetings.
Plan and support grade-level events, trips, and Shabbaton.
Teach two (2) academic classes.
Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree or higher in Education, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience as a Grader Level Dean
* Independent school experience preferred; Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
