Choate Rosemary Hall seeks a full-time mathematics teacher to join our community beginning in August 2026. The successful candidate should be comfortable teaching all levels of mathematics through Honors Calculus, centering student growth in mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to teach more advanced electives such as Statistics, Linear Algebra, Multivariate Calculus, Modern Mathematics, or Differential Equations. Experience teaching statistics or computer science is also desirable. We seek educators who thoughtfully integrate inclusive and equitable practices into their teaching and course design.
A master’s degree in mathematics or a related field is preferred. While 3+ years of teaching experience is an advantage, we welcome applications from both experienced educators and those newer to the profession who demonstrate curiosity, potential, and a commitment to professional growth.
Choate is committed to building and sustaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community where all members feel valued and respected. We actively seek colleagues who bring a variety of backgrounds, identities, and perspectives to our school, and we strongly encourage applications from candidates from historically underrepresented or marginalized groups.
Choate Rosemary Hall is a coeducational, independent secondary school in central Connecticut, serving 850 boarding and day students and employing more than 300 faculty and staff. The School welcomes academically motivated and intellectually curious students from diverse backgrounds around the world and offers a rigorous, supportive learning environment that fosters lifelong habits of learning, leadership, and service. Guided by innovative and passionate educators, Choate strives to be an inclusive community in which all students and employees feel valued and welcomed. On our campus, principled individuals from varied backgrounds are united by common purpose, active engagement, and mutual respect. We honor the richness that difference brings to our community and acknowledge that living inclusively can also present challenges. Through ongoing dialogue and interaction, we embrace those challenges in ways that deepen empathy and build appreciation for perspectives different from our own.
