Required Education:
4 Year Degree
Ranney School seeks an Upper School Mathematics teacher for the 2026–2027 School Year. Our department currently offers courses from Algebra I to multivariable calculus, linear algebra, and statistics.
The ideal candidate will:
have an advanced degree in mathematics, math education, or a related field, and experience teaching high school
be able to teach levels from Algebra I to calculus, including statistics
demonstrate their passion for educating adolescents up to meaningful, relevant, and high academic standards
exhibit a growth mindset for oneself and one’s students
foster collegial interactions with one’s peers and kind and positive interactions with students and parents
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Teach five sections of Upper School math
Mentor students in advisory and co-curricular activities, participate in division and department meetings, and serve in various supervisory roles.
Facilitate an offering in the Upper School’s “Maymester” program, an experiential education program that takes place over the last two weeks of the school year.
Developing strong relationships with students and colleagues is critical for one’s success at Ranney and for the school’s successful accomplishment of its mission to “know and value every child.”

Ranney School is committed to offering competitive compensation based on educational attainment and years of relevant experience. The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 annually.
