Oak Hill Academy, a historic and nationally recognized boarding school located in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, is seeking a qualified and passionate High School Science Teacher for the remainder of the 2025–2026 academic year. The start date for this position would be January 18, 2026.
This full-time position will focus on teaching AP Environmental Science, Earth Science, and Chemistry.This position offers the opportunity to join a welcoming, collaborative community dedicated to helping students thrive.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Science or a related field
Prior teaching experience strongly preferred
Ability to teach upper-level high school math courses
A strong desire to be part of a close-knit academic and residential community
Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and campus life
Oak Hill Academy is a boarding school located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia and enrolls girls and boys in grades 8-12. The school enrolls approximately 145 students each year and averages a 10:1 student/teacher ratio. The diverse student body comes from 22-25 states and 25+ foreign countries.
