The Marketing and Communications Manager handles all content representing New England Innovation Academy (NEIA) on all of the school’s marketing and communications platforms including, but not limited to: print and digital collateral, the school website, newsletters and social media channels. As a key storyteller for the school with a visible on-campus role for the community, this position is responsible for ensuring all copy, photo, and video content clearly represents and conveys the NEIA brand to internal and external audiences. As a member of the Marketing and Communications department, the Marketing and Communications Manager will play a central role in conceiving and executing projects as part of the overall strategy, as well as collecting relevant reporting data and metrics to support activities. The position requires multi-platform editorial skills and standards; a collaborative and responsive style that builds strong professional relationships; and the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
The Marketing and Communications Manager position is a full year, full time, benefits eligible position. The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage and execute internal and external digital marketing and communications collateral, messaging and campaigns for all programs and events in timely accordance to the school’s overall calendar. This includes the weekly newsletter, all-school messages, external platforms , photos/videos/graphics and other materials that represent and promote the NEIA brand.
Coordinate with the supervisor on engaging in collaborative promotion projects with stakeholders, engaging external vendors, and executing brand and messaging strategies.
Maintain all brand assets for reference and use by NEIA staff and partners.
Track and monitor website data and metrics, which can include social media marketing engagement, search engine advertising (SEA), search engine optimization (SEO).
Attend and support school engagement and promotional events on evenings and weekends as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Superb writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with experience working with a variety of stakeholders and clients.
Video, photo, and other visual multimedia skills, including familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or other photo and video editing software.
Proficiency with Google Suite, Blackbaud, Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms, WordPress content management systems and social media management platforms. Willingness to stay current in technology and to adapt to emerging trends as needed.
Working knowledge of marketing-centric analytics and data reporting.
An interest in secondary education and innovative teaching methodologies.
Education and/or Experience
BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 2 years experience in communications or related fields.
CPR, First Aid & AED Certification preferred.
Must be able to pass background checks prior to hire.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Manager does not supervise any other employees at NEIA.
