Essential Functions:

• Assist in organizing and managing all athletic events on campus
• Responsible for creating, confirming and maintaining Middle School athletic team schedules
• Work closely with the Athletic Director to support coaches, along with daily department needs and planning
• Assist the Athletic Director in the hiring, retention, and assignment of coaches
• Serve as PE substitute as needed
• Assist the Athletic Director with overseeing the distribution, storage and inventory of physical education supplies and equipment
• Assist the Athletic Director with FHSAA compliance 
• Act as administrator on duty at sporting events when Athletic Director is not present
• Oversee concessions needs for home athletic events
• Act as team parent/volunteer liaison
• Coach one season at the Middle School, junior varsity or varsity level
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• A minimum of five years teaching and coaching experience, preferably in an independent school environment
• Supports Shorecrest’s mission and core values 
• A valid First Aid Certificate from the American Red Cross, including CPR training.
• Excellent verbal, written and technological communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in using technology and web based tools
• Ability to use basic office equipment 
• A warm collaborative nature, positive energy, sense of humor, and the ability to be calm under pressure
• Ability to work in a very busy and highly involved environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and varied and diverse array of contacts
