Santa Fe Prep seeks a reflective, collaborative, and student-centered Mathematics
Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will be eager to inspire curiosity,
persistence, and confidence in learners while teaching a range of middle and upper
school mathematics courses.
Preferred candidates will be qualified to teach beginning algebra and geometry through
Pre-Calculus, and ideally beyond. Santa Fe Prep uses an integrated mathematics
sequence designed to develop strong algebraic reasoning, geometric thinking, and
functional fluency in preparation for advanced coursework, including Calculus. A
successful candidate will bring a growth mindset, flexibility, and a commitment to
inclusive, brain-based instructional practices that support students with diverse learning
styles and needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach middle and/or upper school mathematics courses, including integrated
  math, algebra, geometry, Pre-Calculus, and potentially Calculus.
• Design learning experiences that develop algebraic fluency, functional reasoning,
  geometric understanding, and mathematical modeling.
• Emphasize problem-solving, visualization, multiple representations (graphical,
  numerical, analytical, verbal), and real-world applications.
• Support students in building skills related to mathematical communication, logical
  reasoning, persistence, and revision.
• Use technology and tools (e.g., Desmos, graphing calculators, dynamic geometry
  software) to enhance conceptual understanding.
• Collaborate with department colleagues on curriculum development, alignment,
  and interdisciplinary opportunities.
• Participate fully in school life beyond the classroom—advising students,
  supporting community service and outdoor education, sponsoring a club, and
  contributing as a member of a grade-level team.
