Founded in 1908, Lancaster Country Day School is an independent school that uniquely houses preschool through 12th grade under one roof. This physical proximity, combined with our small class sizes and dedicated staff, creates deep connections and meaningful relationships among our students and strong ties between our students and their teachers.
Position Summary:Lancaster Country Day School (LCDS) teaching fellows are enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania’s Independent School Teacher Residency (ISTR) Program, part of UPenn’s Graduate School of Education, in which they work toward a master’s degree in Education. Teaching fellows teach in an academic department and fully participate in the co-curricular life of the school through coaching, club sponsorship, and student life activities. LCDS pays approximately 80% of a Fellow’s graduate school tuition and fees and provides a salary and housing for all Fellows. Fellows are paired with a Mentor and work closely with the Co-Directors of the ISTR program.

Over two years, LCDS provides Fellows with the training, skills, and experience needed to succeed as educators, along with extensive mentoring and support.
