								<description>Portola Valley, California,  The Priory School seeks a dynamic Resource Librarian &#38; Testing Coordinator who will join our Learning Support team to work with our students and faculty in two key roles. As our Resource Librarian, this person will manage our library, support information literacy (e.g. AI literacy), and provide academic support to students in grades 6-12.   As the Testing Coordinator, this person will supervise extended time testing in the Learning Commons, standardized testing (e.g. PSAT, SAT, ACT, and APs) for the Upper School, and Middle School MAP testing. We invest in our team with mentoring, resources and professional development to develop and model growth mindsets and a commitment to research-based best practices. 
 Duties &#38; Responsibilities 
 Resource Librarian 
 
 Prepare and maintain the library budget and its physical (e.g. books) and digital resources (e.g. databases). 
 Partner with faculty to develop and implement a scope and sequence curriculum for modern literacy (e.g. AI literacy) with benchmarks across all grades and subjects. 
 Collaborate with faculty to curate course-specific and/or assignment-specific Libguides for research projects and papers. 
 Assist students who visit the Learning Commons in need of support with research and writing. 
 Provide 1:1 support with students, as needed. 
 Plan programs, displays, and activities in the Learning Commons that foster a love of reading. 
 
 Testing Coordinator 
 
 Manage all on-campus SAT, ACT, and AP testing for Upper School and MAP Testing for Middle School 
 Coordinate assessments for students and liase with families, students, faculty, College Counseling, Tech Department, and Learning Support team 
 Work in conjunction with the Director of Learning Support to provide testing accommodations 
 
 Other Duties and Responsibilities 
 
 Partner with the Learning Support team to provide an atmosphere in the Learning Commons that is conducive to study and reflection, study halls, and testing throughout the day. 
 Partner with Student Support Team, teachers, administration, and families; respond to inquiries quickly 
 Support important mission-based programming through advisory and campus ministry retreats 
 Preferred: Coaches a sport or moderates a club or affinity space 
 
 A helpful note: Priory gladly supports our faculty with professional development and/or ongoing mentorship support from our team. 
 Ability to work with multiple stakeholders involved in student success (eg parent/guardians, teachers, administrators) with empathy and through a team lens 
 Develop and maintain relationships with students that demonstrate a commitment to cultural competency, an understanding of neurodiverse learners, project management, records management, and attention to detail in an educational, corporate, and/or non-profit environment 
 Experience supporting adolescents who are experiencing academic challenges 
 Ability to make significant contributions to the larger life of the school 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree 
 Preferred: Master&#8217;s degree, or credential in teaching or library science 
 Preferred: Prior experience with 
 
 Coordinating College Board and ACT standardized testing in a school setting (eg ordering, organizing, administering, and returning exams) 
 Managing a library or teaching in a classroom setting 
 Providing 1:1 support for high school students, specifically in Math, Science, and English (with an emphasis on writing) 
 Working with independent school communities and culture, preferably in a PreK-12 environment. 
 
 
 The salary for this position ranges from $64,000-$74,000 for a ten month school year, depending on qualifications and years of experience</description>
