 Synergy School is a progressive, independent TK&#8211;8 school in San Francisco&#8217;s Mission District.  Role Overview: 
 The Director of Finance is a strategic and operational leader responsible for the school&#8217;s full financial function. This role partners closely with the administrative team, Educational&#xa0; Cooperative, Finance Committee, and Board of Trustees to ensure strong financial health, transparency, and long-term sustainability. This is a part-time leadership role (approximately 50&#8211;65% depending on the candidate). The role is on-site working as part of the broader administration team ~2 days per week. 
 Key Responsibilities: 
 Financial Leadership &#38; Strategy 
 
 Own the school&#8217;s financial strategy, planning, and long-term sustainability 
 Partner with the co-op and Board to guide financial decision-making 
 Translate financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders 
 Lead financial modeling and scenario planning (tuition, enrollment, staffing) 
 
 &#xa0;Budgeting &#38; Forecasting 
 
 Lead annual budgeting process across all school programs 
 Build and maintain rolling forecasts and scenario analyses 
 Partner with program leaders (After School, Summer, Development) on budgets 
 Monitor performance vs. budget and provide variance analysis 
 
 &#xa0;Board &#38; Committee Engagement 
 
 Serve as primary liaison to Finance and Audit Committees 
 Prepare and present monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages 
 Support Board-level strategic discussions with clear financial insights 
 
 &#xa0;Fund &#38; Investment Oversight 
 
 Oversee endowment, reserve, and sinking funds 
 Provide analysis and recommendations on fund usage and sustainability 
 Coordinate with external investment advisors as needed

 Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls 
 Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP)

 In this role, you will oversee confidential documentation, coordinate submissions to external agencies, and maintain clear communication with students, families, and testing organizations. Under the supervision of the Director of Auxiliary Programs and in partnership with the Head Nurse, the part-time nurse helps to coordinate student medical needs, as well as responds to emergency situations. &#xa0;

 Description 
 The Part-time School Nurse&#xa0; supports the health center needs during evenings and at times weekends. This position helps manage&#xa0; health records, provides first aid, administers medications, and develops care plans for students with health issues. Regular hours are Monday - Friday 4:15 - 8:15 p.m. with the potential to fill in other hours when needed.&#xa0;

 Conduct evening nurse dorm rounds, checking on students as directed by the Nurse and dispense any evening medications. 
 
 Health Screenings and Assessments: 
 
 Assess students for signs of illness, infection, or other health concerns. 
 
 Immunization and Disease Control: 
 
 Maintain accurate immunization records and ensure compliance with state immunization requirements. 
 Monitor and manage communicable diseases, and implement disease prevention measures. 
 
 Record Keeping: 
 
 Maintain accurate and confidential student health records. 
 Document all health services provided and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. 
 Support the review and approval of all required student health forms including physical exams, immunization records, and medical authorization forms. 
 
 Collaboration: 
 
 Work with Head School Nurse, school administrators, teachers, school counselors, and other staff to support students&#39; overall well-being. 
 Communicate with parents and healthcare providers about student health concerns in partnership with school administration 
 Serve as a liaison between the school, parents, and health care providers in scheduling medical appointments and managing prescription medications.

 Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred 
 Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California preferred, Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of California minimum requirement

 School Nurse Certification highly preferred
