Position Overview
Tessa International School is seeking a dedicated and reflective Physical, Social, and Personal Education (PSPE) Teacher to work with students in Preschool and the Primary Years for the 2026-2027 school year. This role plays a key part in supporting students’ physical development, well-being, collaboration, and self-regulation within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver developmentally appropriate PSPE learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP
Support students’ physical coordination, cooperation, self-regulation, and overall well-being
Foster inclusive, respectful, and safe learning environments
Collaborate with classroom teachers to support transdisciplinary learning
Organize and support movement-based activities, events, and school initiatives
Observe, assess, and document student growth in physical, social, and personal development
Communicate effectively with families and colleagues
Participate in professional development, meetings, and collaborative planning
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Education, or a related field
Teaching certification or equivalent professional experience
Experience working with preschool and/or primary-aged students
Fluency in English
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred
Master’s degree in a related field
Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme or inquiry-based education
Experience in bilingual, international, or independent school settings
Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
