Middle School 7th/8th Humanities Teacher- Full time position
Haddonfield Friends School is seeking a full-time Middle School Humanities teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities include teaching an integrated Literacy and Social Studies curriculum for 7th and 8th grade students. The qualified teacher will have an understanding of and strong affinity for Quaker philosophy, and will work collaboratively with colleagues.
Strong candidates will bring: 3+ years teaching experience in the Middle School classroom An in-depth knowledge of history and literacy skills as taught at the MS level A collaborative and reflective approach to teaching and learning A genuine understanding of adolescent development and respectful, restorative behavior management Experience developing a conceptual curriculum A rich repertoire of teaching strategies to address a variety of learning styles and needs Strong communication skills Strong technology skills and experience with technology integration in the classroom A commitment to continuous professional learning, including understanding and application of current research An ability to meet varied demands with integrity, enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility, and humor An ability to teach to the whole child, including enthusiasm for project-based learning, field trip planning, service integration, and extra-curricular availability
