Math Teacher On-Campus
Situated in a small, all-boys boarding school environment, Oxford Academy caters to grades 8 through PG. Our educational approach, known as the "Oxford Method," prioritizes individualized instruction and curriculum to effectively educate our diverse student body.
An Oxford Academy math teacher will work in a small, supportive department with experienced colleagues to deliver a standard high school math curriculum in Oxford’s unique one-to-one teaching environment. A successful Oxford teacher should be enthusiastic, energetic, patient, and flexible.
Additional factors to be considered: On campus faculty reside in spacious campus housing with utilities, maintenance, and board covered as part of a beautiful campus in the seaside village of Westbrook. The selected individual will become an integral part of a team of dorm parents, supporting and modeling positive community behavior.. The individual will work closely with administrators in academic and residential roles and be a proactive participant in both capacities.
A 4-year college degree
Extensive experience in mathematics coursework as a student or teaching in the discipline
The mission of Oxford Academy is to provide young men with a successful educational experience through one-to-one instruction, a structured boarding environment and a close, caring community of teachers and peers. Oxford seeks to help students develop both the academic and social skills necessary for future success as citizens of the world.
