The Greatest Good McDonogh Program Manager will assist the Director of Greatest Good McDonogh in the development, management, and implementation of programs and services related to social impact, character and service, and community engagement at McDonogh School. The Greatest Good McDonogh Program Manager holds an important role on the team to manage current service learning initiatives and student groups, supporting curriculum development, and develop and sustaining partnerships and programs that engage McDonogh students and teachers in high-impact experiential learning opportunities.
Compensation for this position will generally be offered in the range of $55,000 - $70,000. Individual offers will be specific, and based on education, experience, and benchmarking parameters.
Essential Functions
Manage student-facing service clubs and initiatives on campus Provide leadership training and consistent mentoring for student leaders:
Provide leadership training and consistent mentoring for student leaders
Manage a schoolwide calendar for drives, fundraisers, and bake sales
Manage, coordinate, and execute school-wide signature GGM initiatives (current and future) with the support of the Director (eg: Stuff-a-Bus, etc.)
Educate the community about service-learning concepts and methodology
Teach in the Fresh Start and Sophomore Wellness programs
Support PK-12 teachers with GGM coursework as needed
Maintain a presence at orientation programs, class meetings, and assemblies
Curate service learning opportunities for students and promote opportunities via email, social media, schoolwide publications, and in-person communication
Develop workshops and classroom-based supplemental instruction for GGM classes
Manage student service hours through MobileServe
Provide frequent and accurate updates to student service hours on MobileServe
Design and implement a reflection protocol for students
Maintain and update the Approved Service list biannually
Research and vet local nonprofit organizations based on student/curricular needs and act as program liaison between nonprofit partners and Greatest Good McDonogh
Provide logistical, administrative, and curriculum-design support as needed for all Greatest Good McDonogh courses, initiatives, and programming
Engage in the life of the school, including professional development and trainings
Provide support for events, including some morning, weekend, and evening hours
Bachelor’s degree required.
Additional Experience
3 - 5 years’ experience working with groups of people, including children, in school/volunteer/camp/church, NGO, and non-profit organizations
Experience with elementary-aged students and working in service learning is a plus
Familiarity with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Slides, Zoom and Canvas preferred

Working Conditions
Evening and weekend hours may be required from time to time. Lifting and carrying of equipment is typical, generally under 25 pounds, with occasional need to lift up to 50 pounds. Other working conditions include climbing stairs, walking around campus, sitting, standing, and significant computer use including extensive close use of a computer monitor.
