 The Opportunity 
 Start date: August 1, 2026 
 The Associate/Assistant Director of Upper Division Admissions (Grades 6-12) is an integral part of our growing admissions, enrollment, and marketing team, enabling Avenues New York to enroll right-fit students and families each year. This role ensures that our campus is fully enrolled for the beginning of each school year, students and families are invested in the vision of an Avenues education, and the ethos of the Avenues community is clearly communicated and understood in the great city we call home. The incumbent for this role will join a caring, cohesive, dedicated, fun, hard-working, and exceptionally talented team of admissions professionals.&#xa0; 
 What You&#8217;ll Do 
 As Associate/Assistant Director of Admissions, you will: 
 
 Support clear, focused, and ambitious recruitment plans to build a diverse pool of well-qualified applicants and ultimately meet or exceed enrollment goals 
 Convey the unique value of an Avenues education in nuanced, compelling ways, and guide families through their journey from inquiry through admission and enrollment 
 Identify &#8220;right-fit&#8221; students and families through careful, holistic review 
 Ensure every family feels cared for and respected, regardless of the admissions outcome 
 Plan and execute high-quality recruitment and yield events that highlight Avenues&#39; unique value 
 Collaborate with our marketing and communications colleagues to best share the Avenues story 
 Establish strong relationships with feeder schools, community organizations, and educational consultants 
 Support and drive continuing enrollment efforts and strong retention by maintaining relationships with families and campus leadership to best support student persistence and success 
 Immerse yourself within the Avenues community, developing authentic and positive relationships with key stakeholders (current students, parents, and faculty) to support both the admissions of new students and the ongoing enrollment of current families

 Additional information 
 
 If hired for this position, the annual salary range is between $80,000&#8211;$115,000. The salary may vary depending on your professional experience and skills.  3-5+ years of related professional experience, with a deep understanding of admissions

 Manage the admissions process from start to finish. &#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Maintain prospective family pipeline, which will include creating a file once an application is&#xa0;submitted, and&#xa0;maintaining that file throughout the admissions process.&#xa0; &#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Partner with admissions leadership to plan, develop and execute student recruitment strategies to drive application growth and achieve enrollment goals. &#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Increase awareness of school admissions through outreach, which includes building relationships with local companies, organizations, associations, communities, and currently enrolled and new families. &#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Participate in or lead family meetings, tours, and entrance exam sessions and playdates, information sessions, open houses, and other admissions related events. &#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Direct the Student Ambassador and Shadow Program. &#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Coordinate enrollment events from concept to implementation. &#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Speak with prospective families knowledgeably and confidently about the school&#39;s program. &#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Supports the follow-up with families who are in our admissions pipeline which will include phone calls and e-mails to those on our interest list to build relationships with new families and students. &#xa0;

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
 Greets all individuals entering the building respectfully and professionally; monitors visitor access 
 Answers phone calls and email correspondence in a pleasant, professional, and informed manner; provides information to the callers, screening/forwarding calls to the appropriate individuals 
 
 
 Manages calendars, including the scheduling of meetings, appointments and events 
 Coordinates Admissions related events including but not limited to the tour guide meet &#38; greet, open houses, new parent receptions, revisits, etc. 
 Coordinates transportation needs for incoming and current students 
 Facilitates internal communication (e.g., distributing materials, scheduling events, creating flyers, etc.) 
 
 
 Provides Veracross support, including processing of daily inquiries/applications, entering database changes and monitoring VC spam and bounce email list. 
 Uploads all supplemental materials for student applications (i.e. recommendations, test scores, transcripts, etc.) 
 Handles all F-1 student visas and paperwork for incoming, current and outgoing students 
 Manages &#8220;Leo the Lion&#8221; mascot program including scheduling and storage 
 
 
 Monitors admissions inbox ( admissions@cgps.org ), serving as first point of contact with prospective families 
 Assists with logistics related to the student ambassador program 
 Provides admissions office support including but not limited to:&#xa0; managing team lunches, monitoring daily coffee setup, submitting maintenance requests, ordering office furniture, processing office mailings, stocking office snack areas, and maintaining a tidy and professional space at the front desk and first floor reception area at all times 
 Researches, orders and maintains inventory of CGPS-branded swag items 
 Creates regular reports, updates databases, and maintains departmental files 
 Attends weekly Admissions Department meetings, participating in those meetings and taking notes 
 Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Admissions &#38; Enrollment Management and/or Head of School. 
 
 &#xa0; 
 &#xa0; QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
 Proven work experience as an Administrative Assistant, or similar role 
 Solid experience with office systems &#8211; Mac preferred 
 Knowledge of office procedures 
 Familiarity with online calendars &#8211; Google specifically 
 Strong communication skills &#8211; via phone, email, and in person 
 Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information 
 Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work

 WORK HOURS: 
 
 Shifts are generally 8am-4pm, schedule modifications may be made according to school needs.

 COMPENSATION:
