The New York Military Academy, a historic day and boarding school founded in 1889, is seeking a full-time Art Teacher to join our faculty. NYMA serves students in grades 9–12 with a mission of developing leaders of character through rigorous academics, athletics, and a structured military environment.
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Art Teacher with a strong background in marketing and media to join our innovative team. As an art teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring and instructing students in various art forms while also leveraging your marketing and media skills to promote the art program within the school and community. This unique role combines traditional teaching with modern marketing strategies, offering a one-of-a-kind opportunity to blend creativity with promotion.
Looking for a creative, inspiring, and student-centered Art Teacher to teach high school-level art classes: Studio Art Art History Foundations of Art / General Visual Arts The ideal candidate will foster an appreciation of the arts, encourage self-expression, and help students build both technical skills and confidence in their creative work.
Responsibilities: Teach high school art classes (Studio Art, Art History, and introductory visual arts etc). Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with NYMA’s academic goals. Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, media, and art history. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom/studio environment. Encourage creativity while reinforcing classroom structure and respect. Support student exhibitions and school events showcasing student artwork.

Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Marketing, Media Studies, or related field
Teaching certification or relevant experience in art education
Proficiency in various art mediums and techniques
Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience in creating promotional materials and managing social media platforms
