The Holy Child Athletic Department is looking to add a Varsity Volleyball Head Coach to our program. Proven success as a player or coach is strongly encouraged for applicants. A positive attitude and coaching approach and good sense of humor are a must. This is a coaching-only, competitively paid, part-time position.
Duties of the Varsity Volleyball Head Coach include, but are not limited to:
Implement instruction and training programs to prepare student-athletes for competition; this will include plans for experienced and brand-new players.
Collaborate with Varsity and JV Coaches to plan, organize and run daily practices.
Attend any/all practices and competitions at the direction of the Head Volleyball Coach and/or Director of Athletics.
Supervise student-athletes during all team activities; travel with the team(s) to and from away games.
Communicate effectively with parents and students via Holy Child email account.
The Volleyball season starts August 12 and runs through mid November.
Practice times range anywhere from 3:15 pm - 6:45 pm Monday - Friday depending on scheduling.
Games will be played throughout the week with Saturday contests.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience coaching at any level of volleyball is required.
