Administrative Assistant, K-12 Admissions
Brentwood School, a vibrant and diverse K-12 independent school, is seeking an Administrative Assistant, K-12 Admissions to begin as soon as possible. This is a 12-month position.
Summary of Position:
The Administrative Assistant, K-12, position is a mix of administrative/office support and customer service. This person serves as an initial point of contact for prospective families throughout the school. The Administrative Assistant supports the Directors of Admissions in the implementation of the admissions process.
The principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Represent Brentwood School as an initial point of contact for applicant families
Oversee the creation and maintenance of admissions files for grades K-12
Assist with the planning and execution of registration for K-12 admissions events such as open houses, orientations, and transition events (some weekend work required)
Assist with the creation of digital monthly newsletters, email reminders and notifications for admissions events for inquiring and applicant families through Finalsite / Enrollment Management System
Record applicant materials into the Enrollment Management System database and follow up with families or schools regarding missing information as needed
Collaborate with the K-12 Database Coordinator on the management of applicant information
Prepare materials for all Admissions events
Inquiry mailings, birthday cards, nametags, hospitality and work orders, interview and tour management
Maintain calendar for the 6-12 Admissions
Track RSVPs, attendees, prepare materials and handouts, register prospective families for events, etc., including the scheduling of interviews, tours and other appointments as needed
Interface with community agencies, such as A Better Chance, Private School Axis, The Independent School Alliance for Minority Affairs, and Young Eisner Scholars (YES)
Assist with Parent Tour Guides schedules (6-12)
Engage in professional and personal development and commit to growth in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion
Participate and initiate opportunities that demonstrate one's growth, knowledge, and skills
Competency in Finalsite Enrollment Management System preferred
Other duties as assigned by the Directors of Admissions and the Senior Administrative Team
While being vaccinated for COVID-19 is not required, it is strongly recommended.
COMPENSATION: Brentwood School's employment requirements vary, from positions requiring no experience to those needing 20+ years of expert experience. Our salary range includes all levels of experience, from $55,000 - $70,000. Salaries are determined based on years of experience, education, full- or part-time status, the category of the role, and the number of months of worked per school year. Salary ranges do not include benefits, i.e. 403b retirement matching, paid lunchtime, free breakfast and lunch, free parking, subsidy toward medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D plans, and generous time off. The pay range is an estimate and is not guaranteed. If hired, your actual base salary will be determined by your education, experience, and category.
