Program Architect: Innovation, Experiential Learning, and Entrepreneurship
Reporting to the Dean of Academics, the Program Architect for Innovation, Experiential Learning, and Entrepreneurship is responsible for designing and advancing programmatic, educational, and professional development experiences that foster innovation and entrepreneurial thinking within the St. Augustine Preparatory School community. The ideal candidate will spearhead the development of initiatives that highlight and enhance interdisciplinary curricular and co-curricular connections and serve as a liaison across the school community to establish and manage productive relationships with internal and external partners. The successful candidate will direct innovation and experiential learning initiatives, steward the work of the Advisory Board, and actively engage with the Office of Advancement in fundraising and grant writing. The individual will coordinate, execute, and support the improvement of existing programs and the creation of new initiatives and events. They will direct program-focused engagement at both the community-wide and stakeholder level through strategic marketing, targeted communications, and related outreach initiatives. In addition, beginning AY 2026-2027, it is expected that a successful candidate will be able to teach two classes annually related to entrepreneurship or related subject matters.
With a commitment to our Catholic, Augustinian mission, this role requires the ideal candidate to have experience in start-up or entrepreneurial environments and enjoy building processes from the ground up.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Development and Implementation
Enhance and strengthen existing experiential learning programs centered on solutions-based learning.
Plan, coordinate, and support the development of new signature programs and events, such as student entrepreneurial ventures and business plan competitions, travel and immersion experiences, workshops, the Entrepreneur in Residence and Veritas guest speaker sessions, and Environmental Justice Week
Devise and implement innovative, entrepreneurial co-curricular programs with an emphasis on student engagement and portfolio-building potential
Form experiential education partnerships with external organizations.
Supervise the responsibilities, performance, and accomplishments of the DECA moderator’s contributions to student development and program success.
After year one, teach two solutions-based classes annually, eg Entrepreneurial Thinking
Strategic Development
Drive future program growth by researching best practices in innovation and entrepreneurial co-curricular activities and develop metrics to assess program effectiveness
Support the Advisory Board by facilitating its goals, coordinating meeting schedules, and developing agendas
Engagement and Communication
Collaborate closely with the Dean of Academics and Chief Advancement Officer to strengthen and expand the school’s relationships with industry leaders, educational institutions, prospective corporate partners, alumni, and parents/guardians.
Partner with the Director of Communications to increase program exposure by preparing entrepreneurial, innovative, and experience-based content for social media, website updates, and outreach campaigns
Maintain regular communication with the Advisory Board to provide timely program updates and gather feedback
Faculty Development
Provide support and professional development for administrators and faculty/staff in designing and implementing school-based programs and courses aligned with innovative, entrepreneurial, solutions-based experiential learning.
Daily Operations and Facility Management
Oversee daily operations and programming in the Innovation, Experiential Learning, and Entrepreneurship designated space (Scarpa Building), cultivating a dynamic environment that supports innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship for student learning and program goals.
Manage scheduling, event preparation, technology, supplies, and facility operations.
Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, with preference given to those who have demonstrated entrepreneurial initiative and process-building within a start-up setting
Must demonstrate competency in advancing the principles of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship within a startup or organizational environment.
Knowledge and experience connecting with the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem are preferred
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interact with the diverse constituent stakeholder base of the school.
The individual must have a deep commitment to the well-being of the school, a commitment to the school’s Catholic/Augustinian heritage, the advancement of its mission, and to serving the needs of a diverse community.

St. Augustine Preparatory School is an independent, all-boys Catholic preparatory school located in Southern New Jersey. The school is owned, sponsored and staffed by the Province of St. Thomas of Villanova and operates under the auspices of the Order of St. Augustine. The Prep has educated young men since 1959. The school is proudly accredited by the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the New Jersey State Educational Association, the Diocese of Camden, and the Augustinian Educational Association. Enrollment is currently at 701 boys and entrance to the school is very competitive. The student body is comprised of young men from seven counties in Southern New Jersey.
