They will demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in their leadership, while cultivating strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
The After School Program is designed to provide a joyful, safe, and enriching experience for students in PreK through middle school. Key responsibilities also include managing attendance and daily logistics, maintaining strong communication with stakeholders, and collaborating with the Business Office and supervisor to ensure that the program meets or exceeds established net revenue goals. The successful candidate will be highly organized, student-centered, and skilled at balancing big-picture vision with day-to-day operations.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
Plan the overarching curriculum and day-to-day events and activities as they fit within the larger goals of the program. This also includes training staff members to run their own activities and projects for certain age groups.
Responsible for planning After School Program trips and ensuring that transportation and other logistics are proactively planned.
Provide training and guidance to the After School Program staff, ensuring they are fulfilling their expected duties and responsibilities.
Manage the hiring and evaluating process of the After School Program staff to match the needs of the program and fit within the perimeters outlined by the program budget and student ratio.
Develop new programming in order to engage students in the program, while finding new ways to support middle school students in the areas of academics.
Responsible for managing the physical space of the After School Program, maintaining a clean and organized shared space.
Manage all of the After School Program attendance and use this for calculating billing.
Supervise, manage, and plan the After School programming that takes place the week after school ends, and those days that require increased After School Program hours (conference days and professional development days).
Coordinate the communication between home and school that pertains to the After School Program, both on a micro and macro level.
Directly supervise the program during program hours, 12 hours per week.
Meet with the Associate Head of School on a regular basis, while consulting with the Business Manager when appropriate.
Attend All School Meeting for Business when necessary to create a bridge between the day and after school program at Greene Street Friends School.
